This quote is from the same lot as all the others, slightly pessimist. The human mind has intertwined into itself to such a point that what he creates can actually surpass its creators, it is amazing and quite the hard concept to grasp. When you analyze the idea of atrophy and you apply it to the whole idea of our laziness and its product, you come to the conclusion that maybe this will happen, but not with our muscles, as much as with our minds. Our minds, after a complete lack of necessity but for the obvious, will devolute, making our minds only contains the needed for the management of all the instruments. Our whole brain will go down levels of Intelligence and rationalization that took us ages to gain. We will be completely dependent on these implements, and our body will most probably follow the body, becoming completely useless, except for the needed, in the computers case, the push-button finger.

Point to Ponder 3

This quote talks about silence. That most of us don't know the sound of silence anymore, silence is something that is incomprehensible if not felt physically, it is like the color of nothing. You do not know it and you can't really reproduce it in your imagionation. Now silence is a sound of less noise, but silence is the extrenme factor that can cause our minds to fly into other dimensions, that lets our bodies rest in perfect harmony with its environment and lets us be what we have always wanted to be.
Machines break this, perverting our perception of this beautiful concept. Making us loose any notion of this human nature defying idea.

Typography Project Questionaire

  1. Why did you choose this particular poem for the Typoetry project?
I chose this poem because I found in it the bravery. simplicity, humor, and obvious truth that i like in poems. Not a dreadfully long, detailed poem on the topic of the left antenna on a giant dung beetle. I thought this poem also was good to depict on a paper.

2. Explain how your Typoetry project interprets the meaning of your chosen poem using typography. Explain the choice of fonts and design in the interpretation of your poem.

I put the poem on paper, in a wquite literary way. The visual reader will see and old man and a little boy and an equal sign. I believe this poem shows quite well that extremities touch, the extremely civilized with the primitive art, the old man, and the little boy, the extremely "complex" modern art, and any kids drawing. I chiose courir new as a font because it is a very malleable font that can be used to create shapes easily.

  1. If you could do the project again, what would you change about it?
I think I wouldn't change enything, yet, I haven't gotten the grade, I haven't finished it, and I haven't even seen it on a printed piece of paper.

I think that this quote, even though it might be a bit enthusiastic, is true.
It also states that the machine isn't better then a extroardinary man, because the extraordinary person is someone, idealy, who has has a flexible but yet stern mind, fixed and right values, a brilliant mind and a wonderful way for turning ideas to reality. An extraordinary man is a completely theoretical idea which isn't physically palpable for the Human being, unless you believe in God. As for a computer doing a job for 50 people i really doubt this isn't an idea of strenghts and smart as of time. It doesn't take a man 1 second to find the 1million digits of pie but it would take him approximatley a month. I think that in the end this quote is a very interesting one, one which leads into the depths of imagination and takes you to rationalize and think it over.
